For example: Confidentiality: NHS Code of Practice (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/confidentiality-nhs-code-of-practice) Charter = a document issued by the state outlining the conditions under which the organisation is organised and designed to outline its rights and privileges Organisational policies = a method of actions selected by the organisation which highlights guidance for present ad future decisions and positions in relation to public interest matters

Pedagogy: -ask pupils to have a go at defining codes of practice, charters and organisational policies (discuss answers with the whole class) > from these answers then try as a class to put together a proper definition for each > when this is done ask pupils to design a table which defines each of the key words (or put in a key word book for the subject) -Equal opportunity policy - what is it? -Show youtube clip - (although it is linked to education - have a class discussion regarding equality of opportunity and equality of outcome) -Ask pupils to research into a policy and create a PowerPoint presentation to present to the rest of the class (over 2 lessons & homework) -questions section > write each question on an A3 sheet of paper on different tables - ask students to go around in pairs and add answers to each of the questions > come back as a class to review > turn these answers into a mind map -Homework > write a detailed answer to one of the questions that was studied during the lesson
